Let's spread some holiday cheer!
Here at CanForge, the holidays are an important time of year. Not only are they filled with cheer and beautiful lights, but the holidays are also a perfect time to spread some generosity. At CanForge, giving back to our community is an integral part of our corporate responsibility.
With the natural spirit of this time of year, we feel it’s also a wonderful time to spread some goodwill towards the people of Welland – people who continue to amaze and humble us with overwhelming support for our industry, making it easy for us to feel a part of this strong community.
Here are some ways you can contribute to making everything "All Welland Good!" here in Welland, Ontario.
United Way
You can support United Way Niagara through payroll deductions, holding coffee breaks for the Alzheimer’s Society, food drives, adopting families through various agencies for gift-giving, participating in community events like walk-a-thons, purchasing raffle tickets to attend charity galas, donating to send children to summer camp, and so much more.
Niagara Community Information Database
The Niagara Community Information Database offers countless suggestions on how to give back either through volunteering or donations. On the database, agencies are broken down by community. When we search what’s available in Welland, we see about 300 agency names where donations of time or goods would be welcomed. And that’s just in Welland!
Some of these agencies operate throughout the region and province: there are food bank programs that benefit children, families, and seniors, animal adoption agencies and rescues, and provincial centres for health assistance, education, and work programs.
